About Our Farm

Megasklad, LLC is a joint project of Megasklad Trading Platform and Megagroup - a leading design studio in Russia. The main objective of this undertaking is the revival of agricultural sector in Russia. Because of food import embargo that Russia had to impose on a number of countries in 2014, many manufacturers suffered noticable losses and the market of farm products significantly thinned out. Taking this fact into account, we offer the owners of European agri-industrial enterprises to establish agricultural business in Russia to avoid sanctions.

Charactristics of the area:

Kosikhinsky district is located in the north-eastern part of Altai Krai. In the north, the territory borders on Zarinsky district, in the east with Kytmanovsky district, in the south with Troitsky district, in the west with Pervomaysky district. The administrative center of Kosihinsky district (Kosiha village) is 68 km from the regional center of Barnaul.

The population is 16,500 people. The district consists of 26 settlements (the largest are the village of Kosiha and the village of Nalobikha), united in 11 municipalities.

Most of the area is occupied by agricultural land - 62.8% of the total area;

32.7% - forests;

3.89% - settlements.

Labor potential: labor force is 9,2 thousand people.

What has been done

We cut down the grove all over the site and released more than 1 hectare of land, which was then used for planting vegetables.

The office building was restored. Completely replaced the roof, sheathed the building with mineral wool and profiled sheeting, installed a heating system.

Internet is connected in the office building and a video surveillance system is installed throughout the territory for remote workflow solutions

Workplaces for new employees of the company were created

We finished building the cellar. Now it stores our entire harvest for 2016: 20 tons of potatoes and 4 tons of pumpkins.

The calf pens were almost rebuilt. Replaced the old plating for a new one from wood, mineral wool and profiled sheeting. Also replaced the roof and installed new feeding troughs.

We purchased 100 sheep of West Siberian breed. In the summer, when the weather allowed, they were kept in a temporary pen in the fresh air. Now they are moved into calf pens.

We brought in 8 calves of Simmental breed. In the future, we plan to increase the livestock.

And as an experiment, 17 rabbits were purchased. They are kept in the cells of our own production inside the calf pen.

Why Altai?

- The region is the largest producer of grain, especially sunflower oilseeds and the only region from the Urals to the Far East that produces sugar beet;

- Altai Krai is one of the leading regions in Russia with the developed tourism industry. In 2015, the tourist flow in the region amounted to 1.83 million people.

Livestock raising

Livestock is one of the main branches of agricultural production. Source of raw materials for industry, valuable organic fertilizers and irreplaceable products in the human diet

Processing of products

We can sell the products from livestock and crop production but it is much more profitable to process it, having gained additional experience and a significant increase in income.

Warehouses

Construction of a vegetable storage to fill the market with fresh produce all year round. Experts estimate this market as unsaturated and we offer development in this direction.
